Project summary

We helped GW Legacy Advisors, a business valuation and financial advisory firm, cut marketing software costs by 96% by implementing a fully automated blog publishing system. Using Webflow, Make, and Buffer, we empowered their team to control their content and distribute it automatically—saving time, money, and hassle.

The challenge

The client was previously reliant on a third-party marketing company charging $800/month for basic blog distribution, with limited access to edit or publish content themselves. This bottleneck made it difficult to maintain consistent outreach and limited their ability to scale.

What we built

We rebuilt their site in Webflow with a streamlined CMS and automation layer designed to grow with them:

  • Webflow CMS: Custom blog collection with an “Auto Post” toggle field
  • Make (Integromat): Automation scenario triggered by CMS item updates
  • Buffer: Automatically posts content to LinkedIn and Google Business

The automation only runs when the client enables the toggle, giving them full control over what gets published and when. The system is also future-proofed for other CMS types like case studies, events, or testimonials.

Technical highlights

  • Editor access: The client can now manage content in-house
  • Toggle-based publishing: Enables on-demand control
  • Cross-platform distribution: Sends posts to both LinkedIn and Google Business
  • Scalable structure: Built to handle future CMS collections without major updates

Results

  • $9,500+ in annual retained revenue from platform savings
  • 96% cost reduction (from $800/month to $23/month)
  • Faster content publishing with zero developer dependency
  • Improved consistency and flexibility across their marketing workflow

Takeaway

“By giving us control over our own content and automating the rest, this project paid for itself within the first year, including an entirely new website and design.”
